Small Business Sale Tip – 3

We’ve been talking about increasing your sales.

I highly recommend trying to upsell your customer when they are making a purchase, which means getting them to buy more products or services that are related or compliment what they are going to buy.

However, that’s not always possible so what do you do?

How about making sure you get their contact information so you can send them a follow up “thank you” and some information about other products that would go along with their last purchase.

  • You could make them a special offer.
  • You could give them a discount coupon.
  • You could sell them a package at a special price.
  • You could make an offer from one of the other
    businesses in your area that you are doing cross
    promotions with.

First of all everybody likes a thank you and a percentage of those customers will take you uo on your offer. Plus because it’s so unusual to have a business follow up they will probably tell there friends about you.

Even thought I hate this phrase, “it’s a win, win”!

No go sell something.
