What Message Is Your Advertising Sending?

This SHOCKED me!

My wife and I were watching TV the other night and the strangest thing happened. We have a DVR so we don’t watch to many commercials. For some reason we ended up seeing this commercial that starts out with hamsters running in those hamster wheel things.

The next thing you know there are hamsters driving around in this red car, I don’t remember, but I think they were jiving to a beat as they cruised around town. The commercial it turns out is for the new KIA Soul.

After the commercial my wife who doesn’t talk much says, “that must be a small car,” I asked her why she felt that way. She said, “obviously it only had room for 4 hamsters!”

First I busted out laughing then it hit me, WOW if that’s the message my wife got I am sure millions of other viewers are thinking the same thing. I wonder if that’s the message KIA thinks they are sending?

What message are you sending with your advertising? Or anything or anybody else that your prospects and customers have contact with that relates to your business. You could be doing more harm than good.

Now go sell something.
